MIAX Sapphire Options Exchange - Reminder: Planned network switch expansion for the 10G ULL extranet and mandatory testing

As previously announced in the May 14, 2026 Alert, the MIAX Sapphire Options Exchange will expand the number of customer facing 10G ULL extranet edge switches from six to ten switches on Friday, July 17, 2026 post close of trading.

For the four additional extranet edge switches, if firms would like to order new Cross Connects (CC) to coincide with the activation of the four additional extranet edge switches, Letters of Authorization (LOAs) are required and must be requested by June 18, 2026.

Following the upgrade, firms must conduct mandatory testing for all new CCs. Also, testing is recommended for existing CC customers.
 
Details on testing:

  1. Testing will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EDT.
  2. Firms are required to perform the following verifications:
    1. Verify all 10G ULL CCs by logging into each subscribed application for each CC (i.e. establish application-level socket connections to MEO, MEI, FOI, CTD, etc., for all ports, across all CCs) and verify the login.
    2. Confirm heartbeat receipt for both the A & B market data feeds for all subscribed multicast feeds across each CC.
    3. After verifying connectivity, firms must inform MIAX Trading Operations at TradingOperations@miaxglobal.com.
